Wedding Venues: 3 Features To Look For

Blog

When it comes to planning a wedding, you have an assortment of responsibilities—finding the perfect wedding dress, filling out wedding invitations, writing your vows, and deciding on the reception center. However, one of your most important responsibilities is selecting the right venue for the wedding. The venue is where the majority of your day will be spent, and you will want to be in an atmosphere that is practical and comfortable yet beautiful and sophisticated. When selecting a wedding venue for your big day, here are three features that you should be looking for.

Aesthetics

The venue should add to the ceremony's beauty and overall wedding day spirit. Look for a venue that really impresses you with its exquisiteness. Find a location that will be enhanced by the décor that you add to it. As you tour the properties that you're interested in, note the amount of decorating that you will need to do. Ideally, you do not want to have to "cover up" the venue. Instead, your decorations should simply add to the existing features of the venue to create the perfect ambiance for your big day.

Location

The location of the venue is incredibly important. As you tour the property, ask yourself whether the venue is difficult to access or if it is convenient for most of your guests. Ultimately, you don't want to put your wedding guests off by making them drive several hours simply to get to your wedding venue of choice. Another thing that you want to check out is the parking situation. Make sure that there is plenty of parking space available for the number of guests that you plan to have in attendance. Small details like these are just as important as the perfect setting, so don't overlook them.

Functionality

The venue that you select needs to be easy to use. In addition, it should offer the necessary amenities for your wedding day. It will be your space for the duration of your rental, so it should feel like it. Scope out venues that are one-stop shops, which means locations that offer dressing rooms, cake-plating services, food and bar options, and even event cleanup. Ultimately, the more services that a wedding venue can offer you, the more you will be able to actually relax—hopefully!—on the big day.

A wedding venue with the aforementioned three features will truly make the difference between a stressful, chaotic wedding day and a smooth, more enjoyable one. For more information, reach out to wedding venues in your area.

Exploring The Wedding Planning Process

Hello, I am Ryan Vaughn. When I was growing up, I always dreamed of meeting the right girl and having a fairytale wedding. I thought out the tuxedo I would wear, dances we would complete and even the shape, size and flavor of the cake I wanted. Luckily, when I did meet the girl of my dreams, she had just as elaborate wedding desires. We set up a dream wedding with years of careful planning. Taking our time allowed us to get great deals on a venue, wedding supplies and clothing for our entire party. I would like to share the techniques we used to plan our wedding to help everyone achieve the event of their dreams. Thanks.
